Fate or Destiny ?

Part 1 :

Humans natural instinct is to dream about all what they want in life.. the position they wanna achieve, the partner they wanna have, the moments they wanna live, the things they wanna have, some experiences they wanna have and also some moments they wanna delete from their life.

We dream, we plan and then act on them.. sometimes we do not get the favourable results...thus  leaving us in a state of confusion and a war starts between our mind and heart.

Life is full of co incidences... sometimes we are not able to understand whether its fate or destiny.

So, lets first understand the difference between fate and destiny.

Fate refers to the development of events beyond a person's control, regarded as predetermined by a supernatural power or an impersonal force. It is an inevitable progression of occurrences that happen, often considered to be set in motion by cosmic or divine will.
Fate is typically seen as fixed and unchangeable.

whereas

Destiny refers to the idea that certain events and outcomes are pre-planned and happen regardless of human action or decision. It is often contrasted with free will, which emphasises
human agency and the ability to shape one's own future.

In summary, FATE emphasises the lack of control over outcomes and
DESTINY highlights a purposeful direction influenced by individual
choices and actions.

Let's consider the example of two characters to understand the difference
between fate and destiny clearly.

Fatima and Sarah both want to become successful writers.

Fatima believes in fate. She thinks that her life is predetermined and that no matter what she does, her future is already set. Despite her passion for writing, she feels resigned to her circumstances, believing that if shes's meant to become a successful author, it will happen regardless of her efforts, If she faces obstacles or setbacks in her writing career, she sees them as inevitable and beyond her control.

Sarah, on the other hand, believes in destiny. She also dreams of becoming a successful writer, but she sees her future as something she can actively shape through her choices and actions. She works hard, constantly improving her writing skills, networking with other writers, and seeking opportunities to get her work published. She believes that her determination and effort will ultimately lead her to fulfill her destiny of  becoming a renowned author.

Both, Fatima and Sarah aspire to the same goal, but their beliefs about fate and destiny shape their attitudes and approaches towards achieving it. Fatima resigns herself to whatever may come, while Sarah actively pursues her dreams, believing that she has the power to influence her own destiny.

The most frequent question asked in podcasts and interviews is that “ Do you believe in fate or destiny?”
